Sara Hirsh Bordo
Episode 3, Rising Above Darkness
A Sonic Journey
Good things, really good things, can emerge from a dark moment.
Former Executive Director of Interactive Marketing at Paramount Pictures, VP of Digital Marketing at MGM Studios, and CEO and Co-founder of NowLive, Bordo was prepared and poised to launch the first female-founded collaborative entertainment and strategy studio. Women Rising has produced everything from TedTalks and women’s marches to documentary films. Her films highlight critical issues and support organizations that provide assistance to people suffering as a result of these issues or events. Topics cover a broad range from changing the social culture of relationship violence against women to the children of 9/11 and how they are surviving that trauma through grace and community.
According to Sara Hirsh Bordo, “Some curse the darkness; others light a candle.” She adds, “We go higher.”
